Clinical Approach
I provide individual therapy, family therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and Play Therapy techniques. My work often is focused on trauma and attachment. Our ability to heal and lead the life we want comes from our ability to connect with others in a safe and supportive relationship, which values and recognizes the needs of the client and family. I strive to provide this in a playful, imaginative, connected, and out of the box approach.
Areas of experience and interest
I have a specialization and focus in treating trauma, attachment, and how what has happened to us has created problems in our lives; working specifically from a strengths based perspective, the importance of the relationship, and the need for a calm, safe, space removed from judgement. I have over 15 years of work in the Queer community. I have been working in trauma and relationship work (such as foster care, adoption, etc) for 5 years, and have been specializing in younger children since 2013. My clients are from a variety of ages, communication modalities, abilities, genders, gender identities, sexual identities, racial/ethnic identities, and class backgrounds, but specifically I can provide services to infants, children and families.
