Tarren Davis receives the ARRM Cares Award

Tarren Davis, our lead direct support professional (DSP) at Milaca Living Center North, was honored by the Association of Residential Resources in Minnesota last week at its annual ARRM Cares Awards.

Tarren was one of six outstanding DSPs from around the state to be honored, out of 111 nominates. The winners are chosen based on:

  • Professional Integrity: maintaining high standards to benefit consumers, co-workers, and the organization and supporting individuals while maintaining professional appropriate boundaries
  • Networking Supports: advocating to connect consumers with natural support systems
  • Creative, Innovative, Proactive Approaches to Services: personalizing services, demonstrating an ability to develop and implement new approaches and sharing successful result.

Here’s how Program Supervisor John Ellison concluded his nomination:

“Tarren has turned the staff into a strong team who not only are adopting her person-centered thinking and approaches, she is empowering them with opportunities to share the load and make decisions creating their own successes.”

Congratulations Tarren!

Director John Kehr currently serves as the treasurer on the ARRM Board of Directors and was one of the presenters for the Cares Award.
