Volunteers of America - Minnesota and Wisconsin welcomes new Vice President and Chief People Officer

(Minneapolis, June 18, 2015) – Volunteers of America-Minnesota and Wisconsin (VOA-MN/WI), a nonprofit health and human services organization, has announced the appointment of Roma Anderson Milton as Vice President and Chief People Officer. Anderson Milton will assume her new position on the organization’s Senior Leadership Team on June 22, 2015.

Ms. Anderson Milton will report to President and Chief Executive Officer Paula Hart, who said, “Roma brings strong human resources expertise to VOA-MN/WI, with more than 28 years in the field in both Minnesota and Wisconsin. We look forward to her leadership as we find, hire and engage great colleagues to fulfill our mission of self-reliance, dignity and hope.”

Anderson Milton’s health care background spans more than 13 years, including HealthSpan Hospital Systems in Minneapolis and Medica, based in Minnetonka. In Wisconsin, she served for 10 years with Pentair Incorporated, the last six as Vice President, Human Resources.

In addition to Medica, Anderson Milton’s other nonprofit experience includes membership on the boards of directors for House of Charity and the Metropolitan Council of Independent Living. She also serves on the HR Committee for the Minnesota Council of Churches. She recently completed her Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership at St. Mary’s University of Minnesota.
