(Minneapolis, February 1, 2016)
— Volunteers of America-Minnesota and Wisconsin (VOA-MN/WI), a nonprofit health and human services organization, has announced the appointments of two new Vice Presidents.

Elizabeth Olson was appointed Vice President and Controller. For the past ten years she was Chief Financial Officer of Grassroots Solutions, Inc. a national consulting services firm practicing in the areas of strategy, organizing, training, and evaluation. Prior to that she was a financial consultant and leader with Slocum, where among her varied responsibilities she helped hire and supervise financial analysts and assisted boards and committees in managing their financial assets.

Anna Petersmeyer, formerly the Director of Housing Management and Senior Services, was promoted to Vice President-Services. Anna is responsible for all VOA–Minnesota operations except for our Services for People with Special Needs (SPSN) division. Anna's responsibilities will include: Care Options Network, Community Family Supports, Education, the Mental Health Clinics, Rehabilitative and Veterans Services, Residential Treatment, as well as our housing and older adult services in both Minnesota and Wisconsin.

"Volunteers of America – Minnesota and Wisconsin is fortunate to welcome two executives of this caliber to our Senior Leadership Team," said President and CEO Paula Hart. "Anna joined us four years ago and most recently led our largest portfolio of services, including housing, assisted living and all home and community based services for older adults. That experience has prepared her well for this promotion. Elizabeth brings nearly 30 years of finance and leadership experience to the post."

Elizabeth Olson is a Chartered Financial Analyst and holds an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. She serves in volunteer positions with the Women's Foundation of MN, the Wayzata Symphony Orchestra and her church.

Anna Petersmeyer is a Licensed Social Worker, a member of National VOA's Housing Operations Shared Leadership Network, the MN Assisted Living Council and the Home and Community Based Services Cabinet. She holds an MBA from Bethel University.
