Volunteer Opportunities

Please help us provide a special evening that will create lifelong memories for older adults! In partnership, Volunteers of America Minnesota and Wisconsin (VOA MN/WI) Elder Connection Program, the Sabathani Seniors Program, and The Magnet 55+ Program are excited to announce the second annual Starry Night Senior Prom for older adults. This special event is a chance to celebrate life and create joyful memories for older adults who may not otherwise be able to attend a formal gathering.  

Multiple learning opportunities for students include completing diagnostic assessments, providing individual, family, and group therapy using a variety of different therapeutic approaches, and co-facilitating Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) skills groups. 

Vona is rule 29 essential community provider clinic that serves people across the life span. It is part of the Behavioral Health Division of Volunteers of America which includes mental health, medication management, case management, functional family therapy, wraparound, and educational services to the community.  Practicum students are able to choose between an assessment only or advanced (assessment and therapy) experience. 

Amicus's One to One Reentry Mentoring has been training volunteers to serve as mentors for individual inmates across Minnesota for over 50 years. By extending a hand of friendship, volunteers help inmates feel cared about, develop trust, and try out new behaviors.

Internships are available for volunteers who are attending college and are in need of internship hours.

Run specialty group sessions (such as AA, NA) or groups focusing on areas of diversity for our youth. (Spirituality, LGBTQ, etc)
