Our new High Fidelity Wraparound keeps families together by building confidence, independence, connections, and hope
Wraparound is an evidence-based approach to care planning that brings together youth, their families, and their support systems, both formal and natural, to prevent out-of-home placement and identify a larger support network that the family can depend on post-Wraparound. The Wraparound approach elicits commitment, partnership, empowerment, optimism, focus, and follow-through with the goal of helping a family move closer to their family vision.
Youth experiencing behavioral and emotional difficulties often have very complicated plans of care from several different providers. With the help of a VOA Wraparound Facilitator, people from the family’s life work together to coordinate their activities, create goals, identify strengths, and blend their perspectives of the family’s situation into one cohesive plan of care. Wraparound work focuses on supporting the voice of a youth and their family, ensuring access to needed resources, and prioritizing the family’s ownership within the plan of care.
