A new project in Anoka will expand Volunteers of America’s Homestead at Anoka, a senior community that offers a full continuum of lifestyle and care choices. As the third expansion of Homestead of Anoka, Nolte River Place Apartments will create more affordable housing options for older adults with a variety of incomes, including eight units reserved for formerly homeless veterans. The addition of Nolte River Place Apartments will create more opportunities for older adults to live in an established community that meets their changing needs as they age. Volunteers of America MN/WI will manage the property and provide service coordination for older adults which may include independent living, assisted living, memory care, long-term care, and short-term rehabilitation. The Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans (MACV) will assist in coordinating and providing services for formerly homeless veterans.
