Clinical Approach

I provide DBT and outpatient services including individual, family, and group therapy to a variety of clients including young children, adolescents, young adults, and families.I empower individuals and families on their journey to find passion and hope in their lives and relationships by using a strengths based, client-centered approach that involves validation, nurturance, direct and transparent communication, and outside the box techniques including play therapy and art.

Areas of experience and interest

I have worked for six years in a long-term dual diagnosis residential treatment program for adolescents providing individual, family, and group therapy and case management services. Prior to that I worked for seven years providing licensing and case management services to foster parents and children in foster care, working in the Native American community with county and tribal social workers.

I am interested in working with young children, adolescents, young adults, and families who have experienced trauma or chronic stress or struggle with depression, anxiety, behavioral concerns, impulse control, emotion regulation, self-harm, suicidal ideation, personality disorder, interpersonal difficulties, unhealthy coping patterns, substance abuse, and conflict within the family system.I enjoy working with families to assist shifting unhealthy communication and behavior patterns to create a healthier dynamic and home environment for everyone.
